  1. Develop and create unique and delicious beverage formulations in line with health and wellness trends.
  2. Utilize your expertise in flavor development to create innovative and marketable products.
  3. Stay updated on current health and wellness trends and incorporate them into product development.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, research and development, and quality assurance to ensure product success.
  5. Conduct extensive research on ingredients and their flavor profiles to create the best possible products.
  6. Use your creative palate and attention to detail to fine-tune flavor profiles and ensure consistency.
  7. Follow company guidelines and regulations to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  8. Maintain accurate records of flavor formulations and adjustments for future reference.
  9. Continuously innovate and improve upon existing products to stay ahead of competitors.
  10. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality and sustainable ingredients.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to bring new ideas and processes to the team.
  12. Train and mentor junior flavorists to ensure consistency and quality in product development.
  13. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote our brand and products.
  14. Follow strict confidentiality protocols to protect company recipes and formulations.
  15. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely product launches.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Flavors And Ingredients: A Flavorist At Mccormick & Company Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Flavors, Ingredients, And Their Interactions To Create New And Innovative Products.

  • Experience In Product Development: Applicants Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Product Development, Specifically In The Food And Beverage Industry, To Be Able To Develop New Flavors And Products That Meet Consumer Preferences And Dietary Restrictions.

  • Education In Food Science Or Chemistry: A Bachelor's Degree In Food Science, Chemistry, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Role. This Educational Background Provides A Strong Foundation In Understanding The Chemical Composition Of Flavors And Ingredients.

  • Sensory Evaluation Skills: The Ability To Evaluate Flavors And Identify Sensory Characteristics Is Crucial For A Flavorist. Candidates Should Have A Strong Palate And Be Able To Differentiate Between Flavors And Aromas.
