- Accurately and efficiently load and unload products from trucks and other vehicles, ensuring timely and safe delivery to our customers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring products are stored in designated areas and free from damage.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report any issues or concerns.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the distribution process.
- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes within the distribution department.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Cross-train in various areas of the warehouse to provide support and coverage as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing McCormick & Company to customers and vendors.
- Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The Minimum Educational Requirement For A Distribution Technician I-Iii Role At Mccormick & Company Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
Previous Warehouse Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Previous Experience Working In A Warehouse Environment. This Could Include Experience With Receiving, Storing, And Shipping Products, As Well As Operating Material Handling Equipment.
Forklift Certification: A Valid Forklift Certification Is Required For This Role, As Distribution Technicians Will Be Responsible For Operating Forklifts And Other Material Handling Equipment To Move Products Throughout The Warehouse.
Attention To Detail: Distribution Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Products Are Accurately Counted, Labeled, And Stored According To Company Standards. They Must Also Be Able To Identify And Report Any Quality Or Inventory Issues.
Ability To Work 2Nd Shift: This Role Requires Candidates To Work On The 2Nd Shift, Typically From Late Afternoon To Late Evening. Candidates Should Have The Availability And Flexibility To Work This Shift, As Well As The Ability To Work Overtime And Weekends As Needed.
