  1. Develop and implement government relations strategies to support company objectives and priorities.
  2. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory issues at the local, state, and federal levels that may impact the company.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advocate for the company's interests.
  4. Represent the company at government hearings, meetings, and events.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and provide strategic advice on government affairs.
  6. Conduct research and provide analysis on policy issues and their potential impact on the company.
  7. Develop key messaging and communications for government officials and stakeholders.
  8. Develop and manage budgets for government affairs activities.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in government affairs.
  10. Provide leadership and guidance to the government affairs team.
  11. Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to stay informed about potential issues and opportunities.
  12. Prepare and submit reports to company leadership on government affairs activities and impact.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  14. Act as a company spokesperson on government affairs issues.
  15. Continuously evaluate and adapt government relations strategies to align with company goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Government Relations: The Ideal Candidate For A Director, Government Affairs Job At Mccormick & Company Should Have A Strong Background In Government Relations, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role.   • Political Savvy: In Order To Be Successful In This Role, The Director Must Have A Good Understanding Of The Political Landscape And Be Able To Navigate It Effectively. This Includes Building Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Understanding The Priorities Of Different Political Parties, And Staying Up-To-Date On Political Developments That May Affect The Company.
