
DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MATERIALS

- Oversee the Materials team and ensure that all team members are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any supply chain issues or challenges.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Conduct regular training and development programs for the Materials team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to materials management.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the Materials team and any areas of concern.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in materials management to continuously improve processes and strategies.
- Lead by example and foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Materials team.
- Take ownership of any escalated issues related to materials management and work towards finding effective solutions.
- Manage the department budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Set and communicate clear goals and expectations for the Materials team and provide regular feedback on performance.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Materials Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Distribution Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Inventory Control, Procurement Processes, And Supply Chain Optimization.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Materials Or Supply Chain Professionals.
Proficiency In Inventory Management Software And Other Relevant Computer Systems.
