Job Description

Mayo Clinic is seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Technologist to join our Radiology team.   1. Perform advanced imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans on animal patients.
  2. Assist veterinarians in interpreting imaging results and providing recommendations for treatment.
  3. Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed.
  4. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all imaging procedures and results.
  5. Monitor animal patients during imaging procedures and provide comfort and care as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible care for animal patients.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Educate and communicate with clients about imaging procedures and results.
  11. Handle and restrain animals for imaging procedures.
  12. Assist with other veterinary duties as needed.
  13. Show compassion and empathy towards animal patients and their owners.
  14. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to providing the highest quality of care.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the radiology team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Veterinary Technology Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Veterinary Technician (Cvt) Or Registered Veterinary Technician (Rvt)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Radiology Or Imaging Setting

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Radiology Equipment, Including X-Ray, Ultrasound, And Mri Machines

  • Strong Understanding Of Animal Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As The Ability To Accurately Interpret Radiographs And Other Imaging Results.
