- Conduct research on infectious diseases in animals, including designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and reporting findings.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and researchers to develop and implement treatment protocols for animal patients with infectious diseases.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and monitor infectious diseases in animal patients.
- Monitor and maintain animal patients' health and well-being during research studies and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures, research data, and animal patients' health.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and ethical standards in the handling and care of animal patients.
- Train and supervise veterinary assistants and other support staff in laboratory techniques and animal care.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of veterinary medicine and infectious disease research, and apply new knowledge and techniques to improve patient care and research outcomes.
- Participate in the development and review of research protocols and procedures, and assist with grant applications and publications.
- Communicate regularly with team members and other departments to coordinate research activities and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, and order and maintain supplies and equipment as needed.

Bachelor's Degree In Veterinary Technology Or Related Field.
Certification As A Veterinary Technician (Cvt) By The American Association Of Veterinary State Boards.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Infectious Diseases In A Veterinary Or Medical Setting.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Techniques And Procedures For Diagnosing And Treating Infectious Diseases.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Both Veterinary And Medical Professionals.
