Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Thoracic Medical Oncologist Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Medical Oncology And Hematology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim).

  • Fellowship Training: Completion Of A Fellowship In Thoracic Medical Oncology Is Required. Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Fellowship Program In Medical Oncology And Hematology.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Thoracic Medical Oncologist Is Preferred. Candidates Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Success In Treating Patients With Lung And Thoracic Cancers.

  • Research Experience: Mayo Clinic Values A Strong Commitment To Research And Innovation. Candidates Should Have A Demonstrated History Of Research In The Field Of Thoracic Medical Oncology, Including Published Articles Or Presentations At Conferences.
