Job Description

The Mayo Clinic is looking for an experienced Technical Specialist to join our team. We are seeking an individual with a passion for providing technical support and problem solving, who is committed to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.The Technical Specialist will work closely with our IT team and other Mayo Clinic departments to provide technical support for a wide variety of projects. This position requires strong technical skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a highly-dynamic environment.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field• At least 5 years of experience in technical support or a related field• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsIf you are a detail-oriented problem solver who is eager to be a part of a world-renowned health care institution, we look forward to receiving your application.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and problem solving for a variety of projects.
  2. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking system issues.
  3. Assist IT team and other Mayo Clinic departments in providing technical support.
  4. Develop solutions to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
  5. Foster collaborative relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
  6. Identify and document issues, problems, and resolutions.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and trends.
  8. Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  9. Monitor performance of systems and provide necessary maintenance.
  10. Monitor customer feedback and take appropriate action.
