  1. Oversee and lead a team of medical technologists in the Blood Bank and Microbiology Lab.
  2. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to ensure adherence to lab protocols and procedures.
  3. Utilize expertise in blood bank and microbiology testing to ensure accurate and timely results.
  4. Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest level of accuracy and precision in lab testing.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and technologies.
  7. Train new team members and provide ongoing education and training to current team members.
  8. Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain efficient lab operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate lab processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Act as a liaison between the lab and other departments within the organization.
  12. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide clear and accurate information.
  14. Stay up-to-date with advancements and developments in the field of medical technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) Through Ascp

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Blood Bank And Microbiology

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills, Including Experience In Supervising And Training Laboratory Staff

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Quality Control, Proficiency Testing, And Regulatory Requirements, Including Cap, Clia, And Fda Guidelines
