  1. Provide exceptional patient care by assisting in surgeries and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with top surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure successful outcomes.
  3. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies for procedures.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
  5. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with tasks such as passing instruments, holding retractors, and suturing.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation and records of procedures.
  7. Continuously monitor and assess patient's condition during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
  8. Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of surgical equipment and instruments.
  9. Stay up-to-date with new techniques and procedures in the field of surgery.
  10. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  12. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals.
  15. Attend and participate in trainings and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  16. Uphold the values and mission of Mayo Clinic in all job duties.
  17. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  18. Provide support and guidance to less experienced surgical technologists.
  19. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Instrumentation, Equipment, And Procedures In Various Surgical Specialties.

  • Ability To Anticipate The Needs Of The Surgical Team And Maintain A Sterile Field During Surgical Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
