- Review and analyze medical records to determine appropriate coding and billing for surgical services

- Stay up-to-date on current coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all coding and billing processes

- Participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives

Advanced Coding Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Valid Coding Certification, Such As Cpc Or Ccs-P, To Demonstrate Proficiency In Surgical Coding And A Thorough Understanding Of Coding Guidelines And Principles.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Surgical Coding Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Surgical Coding, Preferably In A Remote Or Telecommuting Role. This Experience Should Include A Diverse Range Of Surgical Specialties And Procedures.
Proficiency In Icd-10 And Cpt Coding: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Working Knowledge Of Icd-10 And Cpt Coding Systems, As Well As An Understanding Of Modifiers And Their Appropriate Use In Surgical Coding.
