  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Pathology Support team, ensuring efficient and effective functioning.
  2. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them grow and reach their full potential.
  3. Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
  5. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, staff, and vendors, to promote effective communication and partnerships.
  7. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
  8. Manage the department budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for incorporating new technology and methods into the department.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the Pathology Support team and other departments, communicating information and coordinating activities as needed.
  11. Support departmental goals and objectives, and work towards achieving organizational targets and initiatives.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and documentation related to department activities.
  13. Adhere to Mayo Clinic's mission, values, and standards of behavior, and serve as a role model for staff.
  14. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Supervisor - Pathology Support At Mayo Clinic Must Have A Strong Educational Background In A Relevant Field To Effectively Lead A Team And Make Informed Decisions.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting: This Role Requires Prior Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Environment, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Leadership Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Processes And Procedures.

A Supervisor - Pathology Support Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Regulations, Including Clia And Cap, To Ensure The Lab Operates Efficiently And Meets All Standards.
