  1. Assist with the planning and execution of the Summer Lab Science Program, including coordinating schedules and managing logistics.
  2. Provide support to the laboratory scientists by assisting with experiments, data collection, and analysis.
  3. Attend training sessions and workshops to learn about laboratory techniques and procedures.
  4. Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the laboratory, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with other program participants to complete group projects and presentations.
  6. Conduct literature reviews and assist with research projects to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
  7. Participate in team meetings and discussions to share ideas and insights.
  8. Represent Mayo Clinic and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in a professional manner at all times.
  9. Act as a mentor for high school or college students participating in the program, providing guidance and support.
  10. Take part in outreach activities to promote the Summer Lab Science Program and inspire future generations of healthcare professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Laboratory Science.

  • Strong Academic Record And Relevant Coursework In Laboratory Sciences.

  • Previous Laboratory Experience, Preferably In A Clinical Setting.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
