  1. Sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment and instruments to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Sterile Processing Certification: A Sterile Processing Technician Must Possess A Valid Certification From An Accredited Program, Such As The Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Or The Certified Sterile Processing And Distribution Technician (Cspdt).

  • Prior Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Sterile Processing Department, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques, Equipment Maintenance, And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Attention To Detail: Sterile Processing Requires Strict Adherence To Protocols And Attention To Detail To Ensure Patient Safety. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Excellent Attention To Detail And The Ability To Follow Instructions Accurately.

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: A Sterile Processing Technician Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Sterilization Techniques, Such As Steam And Ethylene Oxide, And Be Able To Operate Sterilization Equipment Safely And Effectively.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Standing For Long Periods, As Well As Lifting And Moving Heavy Equipment And Supplies. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Without Difficulty.
