- Design and implement cloud solutions that meet the needs of the organization, while adhering to industry best practices and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cloud computing needs and provide technical guidance and support.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Lead and participate in the planning, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications and services.
- Develop and maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud computing, providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the successful delivery of cloud services.
- Train and mentor junior cloud engineers and other team members as needed.
- Maintain a high level of security and data protection within the cloud environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates, recommendations, and solutions.
- Continuously assess and improve the organization's cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Mayo Clinic's policies, procedures, and standards for quality and compliance.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Cloud Engineering, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Research Environment.
Strong Understanding Of Cloud Computing Technologies, Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.
Extensive Knowledge Of Networking, Virtualization, And Storage Technologies.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills, With The Ability To Work Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
