  1. Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
  2. Review and process medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  3. Monitor patient records for consistency and completeness.
  4. Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures related to health information management.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
  6. Utilize electronic health record systems to enter and retrieve patient information.
  7. Respond to requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized parties.
  8. Ensure patient information is protected and secure according to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Stay current with changes in healthcare laws and regulations related to health information management.
  10. Provide training and support to other staff members on proper record keeping and documentation procedures.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of record keeping processes.
  12. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
  14. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patient records and electronic health record systems.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the Health Information Management Services department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Health Information Management Or Medical Coding.

  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) Certification.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Health Information Management Systems And Electronic Health Records.

  • Excellent Organizational And Analytical Skills, With Attention To Detail And Ability To Maintain Confidentiality.
