  1. Conduct research and experiments to develop new gene-targeted therapies for rare genetic diseases.
  2. Collaborate with other team members to design and implement experiments and studies.
  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and technology.
  4. Analyze and interpret data from experiments and studies.
  5. Keep detailed records of research procedures, data, and results.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in gene-targeted therapy research.
  7. Participate in scientific conferences and contribute to publications and presentations.
  8. Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards.
  9. Train and supervise junior research technicians and lab assistants.
  10. Contribute to grant proposals and fundraising efforts to support the research program.
  11. Communicate research findings and progress to team members, supervisors, and collaborators.
  12. Identify and troubleshoot any technical or experimental issues.
  13. Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
  14. Continuously evaluate and optimize experimental protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Gene-Targeted Therapy: A Senior Research Technologist For Gene-Targeted Therapy For Rare Genetic Diseases At Mayo Clinic Should Have A Strong Background In Gene-Targeted Therapy Techniques, Including Gene Editing, Gene Delivery Systems, And Gene Expression Regulation.

  • Knowledge Of Rare Genetic Diseases: This Position Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Rare Genetic Diseases And Their Underlying Molecular Mechanisms. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Working With Animal Models Of Rare Genetic Diseases And A Strong Understanding Of Disease Pathogenesis.

  • Advanced Laboratory Skills: A Senior Research Technologist Should Have Advanced Laboratory Skills, Including Cell Culture, Molecular Biology Techniques, And Proficiency In Various Analytical And Imaging Techniques. Experience With Gene Editing Tools Such As Crispr/Cas9 Is Highly Desirable.

  • Strong Research Background: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Research Projects, Preferably In The Field Of Gene-Targeted Therapy Or Rare Genetic Diseases. This Position Requires The Ability To Design Experiments, Analyze Data, And Troubleshoot Technical Issues Independently.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Senior Research Technologist Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Research Findings And Collaborate With Other Members Of The Research Team. This Position May Involve Supervising And Training Junior Staff, So Strong Leadership And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.
