  • Assess and evaluate patient needs related to respiratory illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
  • Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory illnesses, treatments, and self-care techniques
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Stay up-to-date on current research, developments, and best practices in respiratory therapy
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures
  • Attend continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and enhance skills
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Mayo Clinic in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active State License: All Candidates Must Hold A Current And Active State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist.

  • Cpr Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current Cpr Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Heart Association.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting, Is Highly Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Respiratory Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Respiratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Ventilator Management And Oxygen Therapy.
