  1. Assist respiratory therapists in administering respiratory treatments and therapies to patients.
  2. Monitor and record patient's vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the respiratory therapist.
  3. Educate patients on proper use of respiratory equipment and techniques for managing their condition.
  4. Clean and maintain respiratory equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
  5. Assist with the setup and maintenance of patient rooms and equipment for respiratory treatments.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  7. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  8. Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety measures.
  9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during respiratory treatments.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of respiratory therapy.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  14. Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in the field of respiratory therapy.
  15. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations of the healthcare organization.
  16. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while providing patient care.
  17. Assist in emergency situations and perform CPR if needed.
  18. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  19. Collaborate with respiratory therapists to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  20. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education

  • Completion Of An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Assistant Program

  • Certification As A Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (Crtt)

  • Current Bls And Acls Certification

  • Previous Experience Working In A Respiratory Therapy Department, Preferably At A Hospital Or Medical Facility
