- Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and treat respiratory diseases and disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Monitor patients' respiratory status and response to treatment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, equipment use, and disease management to promote self-care and improve overall health
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes, in compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care through continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced respiratory therapists, serving as a resource and mentor for their growth and development
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and sensitivity when working with pediatric and neonatal patients and their families, recognizing their unique needs and challenges

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Is Required For This Position, Preferably With A Focus On Pediatric And Neonatal Care.
Current State Licensure: All Candidates Must Hold A Valid License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist In The State Of Minnesota, Or Be Eligible For Licensure Upon Hire.
Certification In Pediatric And Neonatal Respiratory Care: Candidates Must Hold A Current Certification In Pediatric And Neonatal Respiratory Care, Such As The Neonatal And Pediatric Specialty (Nps) Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric And Neonatal Respiratory Care: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Pediatric And Neonatal Respiratory Care Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Must Also Possess Strong Teamwork Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
