
Research Technologist - Hematology Biobank - Limited Tenure

- Conduct laboratory experiments and procedures related to hematology research, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain and organize the Hematology Biobank, including monitoring inventory, labeling and storing samples, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and scientists to design and execute research projects, including data collection and analysis.
- Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory techniques and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Keep detailed records of all experiments and results, and present findings in team meetings and conferences.
- Stay up-to-date on current research in the field of hematology and contribute to the development of new research ideas.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Train and supervise junior staff and students on laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the Hematology Biobank team.
- Represent the Mayo Clinic and the Hematology Biobank at conferences and meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of the job.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
Bachelor's Degree In Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Research Laboratory, Preferably In The Field Of Hematology.
Proficiency In Aseptic Techniques And Laboratory Equipment Operation, Such As Flow Cytometry, Pcr, And Cell Culture.
Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements For Handling And Processing Human Biological Samples.
