
Research Protocol Specialist

- Develop and maintain research protocols in accordance with institutional and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and other research team members to design and implement protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards for human subject research.
- Monitor and track protocol progress, including enrollment, data collection, and study timelines.
- Communicate with study participants to schedule appointments, obtain consent, and provide necessary information.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for institutional review board (IRB) approval and ongoing reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of protocol-related activities.
- Coordinate and conduct protocol training for research team members.
- Serve as a resource for study staff regarding protocol-related questions and issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot potential protocol deviations or non-compliance and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Facilitate protocol audits and inspections.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate protocol processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate protocol updates and changes to study team members and ensure adherence to updated procedures.
- Participate in protocol development meetings and provide input on study design and feasibility.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for protocol management.
- Stay current on industry standards and best practices for research protocol development and implementation.
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners as needed to ensure successful protocol execution.
- Adhere to Mayo Clinic's mission, values, and code of conduct.
- Continuously uphold a high standard of patient care and research integrity.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Or Clinical Research.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Research Protocol Development And Management.
Familiarity With Federal Regulations And Guidelines Related To Human Subjects Research, Such As Hipaa And Good Clinical Practice (Gcp).
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail To Effectively Manage Multiple Projects And Deadlines.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills To Collaborate With Research Teams, Institutional Review Boards, And Other Stakeholders.
