  1. Conduct independent and collaborative research projects related to pulmonary medicine.
  2. Develop and implement research protocols and methodologies.
  3. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments and studies.
  4. Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and conferences.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the pulmonary team to develop new treatment strategies and therapies.
  6. Stay current on the latest advancements and trends in the field of pulmonary medicine.
  7. Assist with grant writing and securing funding for research projects.
  8. Mentor and supervise students, interns, and other research fellows.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities.
  10. Adhere to ethical and safety standards in all research activities.
  11. Participate in journal clubs, seminars, and other educational activities.
  12. Contribute to the development of research proposals and protocols.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and institutions on research projects.
  14. Attend and present at national and international conferences.
  15. Assist with administrative tasks related to research, such as budgeting and scheduling.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve research methodologies and techniques.
  17. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grants, and reports.
  18. Adhere to all regulations and policies related to research, including HIPAA and IRB guidelines.
  19. Represent Mayo Clinic and the pulmonary department at professional events and conferences.
  20. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the research team.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Pulmonary Medicine Or Related Field: A Research Fellow-Pulmonary At Mayo Clinic Must Possess A Doctoral Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Pulmonary Medicine, Respiratory Therapy, Or Respiratory Science.

  • Extensive Research Experience: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Research, With A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Studies And Publishing Research Papers In The Field Of Pulmonary Medicine.
