  1. Conduct cutting-edge research in cancer biology under the guidance of the Justilien Lab and in collaboration with other experts in the field.
  2. Contribute to the development of novel treatments for cancer through experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
  3. Stay updated on the latest advancements in cancer biology and incorporate them into research projects.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and data.
  5. Analyze and present data in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written reports.
  6. Collaborate with team members and actively participate in group discussions and meetings.
  7. Work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues and propose alternative approaches when necessary.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  10. Continuously learn and improve research techniques and skills through self-directed learning and professional development opportunities.
  11. Contribute to the preparation and submission of grant proposals and manuscripts.
  12. Represent the Justilien Lab and Mayo Clinic at scientific conferences and events.
  13. Actively contribute to the dissemination of research findings through presentations, publications, and other forms of communication.
  14. Nurture a collaborative and positive work environment by fostering open communication and teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • A Ph.d. In Cancer Biology Or A Related Field: A Research Fellow At Mayo Clinic Should Possess A Strong Foundation In Cancer Biology And Related Research Techniques. A Ph.d. In This Field Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of The Subject Matter And An Ability To Conduct Independent Research.

  • Extensive Research Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Track Record Of Successful Research Projects In The Field Of Cancer Biology. This Could Include Publications In Peer-Reviewed Journals, Presentations At Conferences, And Awards For Research Excellence.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Techniques And Equipment: The Research Fellow Should Be Proficient In A Variety Of Laboratory Techniques, Including Cell Culture, Molecular Biology, And Imaging. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Specialized Equipment Commonly Used In Cancer Biology Research.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Research Fellow, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Analyze Complex Data And Draw Meaningful Conclusions. They Should Possess Excellent Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem-Solve Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Successful Candidate Should Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With A Diverse Team Of Researchers And Communicate Their Findings Clearly And Concisely. They Should Also Have Experience Mentoring And Training Junior Researchers.
