  1. Coordinate the organ donation and transplant process, ensuring all necessary steps and procedures are followed.
  2. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to transplant patients and their families.
  3. Utilize nursing knowledge and expertise to assess and monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being.
  4. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families to provide updates and address any concerns.
  5. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for transplant patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the transplant process, including pre- and post-operative care, potential risks and complications, and medication management.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all care provided and any changes in patient's condition.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and committees to ensure the best possible care for transplant patients.
  9. Stay current on the latest developments and advancements in the field of transplantation, including new procedures, medications, and treatments.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  11. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the transplant process.
  12. Collaborate with transplant coordinators and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless transition of care for patients.
  13. Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and assist with training and mentoring new team members.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: A Registered Nurse - Supplemental Transplant Procurement Coordinator - Rn Must Possess A Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Educational And Competency Requirements To Provide Safe And Effective Patient Care.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Transplant Nursing: Given The Complex Nature Of Transplant Procedures And Post-Operative Care, It Is Essential That A Candidate For This Role Has A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Transplant Nursing. This Experience Will Ensure That They Are Familiar With The Unique Needs Of Transplant Patients And Can Effectively Coordinate Their Care.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Coordinator Between Multiple Healthcare Teams And Patients, It Is Crucial For A Registered Nurse - Supplemental Transplant Procurement Coordinator - Rn To Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Providers, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Different Teams.

  • Knowledge Of Transplant Protocols And Regulations: Transplant Procedures Are Highly Regulated And Have Strict Protocols That Must Be Followed. A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Protocols And Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Safety For Patients.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment: The Role Of A Registered Nurse - Supplemental Transplant Procurement Coordinator - Rn Can Be Demanding, As They Are Responsible For Coordinating Multiple Aspects Of A Transplant Procedure. A Candidate Must Be Able To Thrive In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Still Providing Compassionate Care To Patients. This Requires Strong Organizational Skills, The Ability To Think Critically, And The Capacity To Remain Calm Under Pressure.
