Job Description

At the Mayo Clinic, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized training in mood disorders to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to work with a highly skilled group of professionals to provide the best possible care for patients in our Mood Disorders program. The ideal candidate for this position has experience providing care for patients with various types of mood disorders. He or she should have a strong understanding of the complexities of diagnosis, treatment, and support, and be able to provide compassionate and informed care. We are looking for a team player who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and service.Required qualifications for this role include a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; minimum of two years of experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting providing care for patients with mood disorders; and knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and informed care to patients with various types of mood disorders.
  2. Provide mental health assessments and treatments.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients and families about diagnosis and treatment plans.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
  6. Monitor patient progress and modify treatments as needed.
  7. Document patient care services in accordance with organizational protocols.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  9. Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  10. Follow all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
