  1. Provide specialized care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including close monitoring and advanced interventions.
  2. Ensure exceptional patient care is provided to every patient, every day, in line with Mayo Clinic's mission.
  3. Utilize compassion, expertise, and dedication to promote positive patient outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  5. Assess and monitor patient conditions, and promptly report any changes to the healthcare team.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  7. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plan, and self-care techniques.
  8. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  9. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to provide the highest quality of care.
  11. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  12. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  13. Serve as a patient advocate and communicate any concerns or needs to the healthcare team.
  14. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  15. Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nursing staff.
  16. Meet all educational and training requirements to maintain licensure and stay updated on current healthcare practices.
  17. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
  18. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  19. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate and facilitate patient transfers.
  20. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Progressive Care Or Critical Care Setting.

  • Ability To Work Night Shifts And Weekends, As Well As Willingness To Participate In On-Call Rotation.
