
Registered Nurse - Neuro Operating Room - Scrub/Circulate - RN

- Provide high-quality patient care: The primary responsibility of a Scrub/Circulate RN in our Neuro Operating Room is to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures. This includes performing assessments, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: Our Scrub/Circulate RNs work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Collaboration and effective communication are essential in this role.
- Monitor and maintain a sterile environment: The Neuro Operating Room is a highly sterile environment, and it is the responsibility of the Scrub/Circulate RN to maintain its cleanliness and adhere to strict infection control protocols. This includes ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with surgical procedures: As a Scrub/Circulate RN, you will be responsible for assisting the surgical team during procedures. This may include passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Operate specialized equipment: Our Neuro Operating Room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and as a Scrub/Circulate RN, you will be trained to operate and troubleshoot various equipment, including neurosurgical navigation systems, intraoperative imaging machines, and microscopes.
- Monitor and document patient data: It is essential to accurately document and maintain patient records in the Neuro Operating Room. The Scrub/Circulate RN will be responsible for monitoring and documenting patient data such as vital signs, intake and output, and any other relevant information.
- Educate patients and families: The Scrub/Circulate RN plays a vital role in educating patients and their families about their surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discharge instructions. This includes providing information about potential risks and complications and addressing any questions or concerns.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Of Practice.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neuro Operating Room Setting, With Expertise In Scrubbing And Circulating.
Advanced Knowledge Of Neurosurgical Procedures And Equipment, Including But Not Limited To Craniotomies, Spinal Fusions, And Neuroendovascular Procedures.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications From The American Heart Association.
