- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with mood disorders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patient’s physical and emotional well-being, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care protocols and policies.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to mood disorders and mental health nursing through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Advocate for patients and their needs within the healthcare system.
- Collaborate with community resources and support systems to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive patient experience.
- Remain empathetic, patient, and understanding when working with patients who may be experiencing severe emotional distress.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Psychiatric Nursing, With A Focus On Mood Disorders.
Strong Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices And Treatment Modalities For Mood Disorders.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.
