Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool at Mayo Clinic, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, caring for patients across a variety of specialties and units. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing the highest level of quality care to our patients, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced RN to join us on our night shift. To thrive in this role, you must have a current RN license, at least 2 years of acute care experience, and be willing to work a flexible schedule.   1. Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients across various specialties and units.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, and provide timely interventions as needed.
  4. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
  5. Monitor and document patients' responses to medications and treatments.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Act as an advocate for patients and ensure their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  9. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  10. Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
  11. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations of the organization and nursing standards of practice.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
  13. Regularly attend and participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain clinical competency.
  14. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and unit assignments.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Mayo Clinic and actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification
