Registered Nurse - Family Birth Center Labor/Delivery

• Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to expectant mothers and their newborns during childbirth in the Family Birth Center Labor/Delivery unit at Mayo Clinic
• Utilize expertise in labor and delivery to ensure the highest quality of care for patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient's condition during labor and delivery, taking appropriate action as needed
• Provide education and support to patients and families to promote a positive birth experience
• Adhere to all safety and infection control practices to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
• Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance nursing skills and knowledge
• Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Complete all required training and maintain all necessary certifications, including BLS and NRP
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to nursing and healthcare practices
• Serve as a role model and mentor for other nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
