  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to adolescent patients in their homes, schools, and community settings.
  2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for each patient.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  4. Monitor and assess patient's physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes to the physician.
  5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  6. Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Adhere to all nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any potential patient safety concerns.
  10. Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and their families.
  11. Maintain a current nursing license and participate in ongoing education and training.
  12. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of Mayo Clinic in all interactions.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Requirement For This Position Is A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides A Comprehensive Understanding Of Patient Care, Health Assessment, And Health Promotion.

  • Current Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold A Current, Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License From The State In Which They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Nursing Practice.

  • Experience In Pediatrics And Adolescent Medicine: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Strong Background In Pediatric And Adolescent Medicine. This Includes Experience In Caring For Children And Adolescents With Acute And Chronic Illnesses, As Well As Knowledge Of Developmental And Behavioral Health.

  • Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Registered Nurse In Community Pediatrics Adolescent Medicine, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Making Critical Decisions In High-Stress Situations. Therefore, Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential To Provide Quality Care To Patients.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Provide Patient Education, Collaborate With Other Healthcare Team Members, And Maintain Accurate Medical Records.
