Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse Position At Mayo Clinic. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Clinical Skills That Are Essential For A Cardiothoracic Or Scrub/Circulate Nurse.
Current Rn Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The Educational And Competency Requirements To Provide Safe And Effective Patient Care.
Specialized Training Or Certification: Mayo Clinic Prefers Candidates With Additional Education Or Certification In Cardiothoracic Nursing Or Scrub/Circulate Nursing. This May Include Completion Of A Specialized Nursing Program, Such As A Post-Graduate Certificate Program, Or Certification Through A Professional Organization Such As The American Association Of Critical-Care Nurses (Aacn).
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Cardiothoracic Or Scrub/Circulate Nursing Is Typically Required For This Position. This Experience Should Include A Variety Of Patient Populations, Procedures, And Settings To Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of The Field.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Healthcare Team, A Registered Nurse At Mayo Clinic Must Possess Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills.
