Job Description

The Mayo Clinic is looking for an experienced and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team and help us provide the highest level of care to our patients. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy treatments to patients.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, Medical Dosimetry, or a related field. You must be a Registered Radiation Therapist (R.T.) or be eligible to obtain registration in the state of Minnesota, and have at least one year of clinical experience in radiation therapy. You should also possess excellent communication and technical skills and the ability to work well with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Most importantly, you must be committed to providing the highest quality of patient care and have a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
  2. Ensure accuracy and safety of radiation treatments ensuring appropriate dose and technique.
  3. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments.
  4. Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy treatment plans and expectations.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate records of treatments, patient responses, and other related information.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  8. Utilize the latest technology and equipment to ensure quality patient care.
