  1. Manage and coordinate research projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all project deliverables are met within the established timeline and budget.
  2. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of project activities.
  4. Identify and mitigate project risks, and proactively address any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
  5. Monitor and track project progress, and provide regular status reports to management.
  6. Facilitate meetings and discussions with project team members to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals.
  7. Work closely with research scientists and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure they are met.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to research projects.
  9. Manage project resources and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  10. Continuously evaluate project processes and identify opportunities for improvement to streamline project delivery.
  11. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in project management to bring new ideas and strategies to the team.
  13. Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior project management staff, as needed.
  14. Represent the Mayo Clinic research team at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote the organization's research initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Related Field: A Project Manager - Research At Mayo Clinic Should Hold A Master's Or Doctoral Degree In A Field Such As Biomedical Science, Public Health, Or Healthcare Administration. This Advanced Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Lead And Oversee Research Projects Effectively.

  • Previous Experience In Project Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Research Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Execute Complex Projects While Meeting Deadlines And Staying Within Budget.

  • Knowledge Of Research Methodologies And Regulations: A Project Manager - Research At Mayo Clinic Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Research Methodologies And Regulations, Including Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) And Institutional Review Board (Irb) Requirements. This Knowledge Ensures That All Projects Are Conducted Ethically And In Compliance With Regulatory Guidelines.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Key Leader In Research Projects, The Project Manager Must Have Exceptional Communication And Leadership Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And External Partners, As Well As The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members Towards Project Goals.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: Research Projects Often Encounter Unexpected Challenges And Require Quick Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills. A Project Manager - Research At Mayo Clinic Should Possess Strong Analytical Abilities To Identify Potential Issues And Develop Solutions To Keep The Project On Track. This Also Includes The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data To Inform Decision-Making And Project Progress.
