Job Description

Mayo Clinic is seeking a talented and experienced Privacy Analyst to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help protect the privacy of our patients and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. As a Privacy Analyst, you will collaborate with a variety of personnel across the organization to analyze, develop, and implement privacy-related policies, procedures, and initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in privacy and data security operations, along with a Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field. You must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks.This is a full-time role based in Rochester, Minnesota. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and develop privacy-related policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  2. Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
  4. Collaborate with a variety of personnel across the organization to ensure privacy compliance.
  5. Provide guidance and support to other personnel regarding privacy policy matters.
  6. Identify potential privacy risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  7. Investigate and respond to privacy complaints.
  8. Participate in privacy training, audits, and other initiatives.
  9. Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations on privacy-related matters.
