
Principal Business Analyst
At Mayo Clinic, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver and have the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and has a strong focus on delivering results. The Principal Business Analyst will be responsible for performing complex business analysis, data analysis, and process improvement activities. They will also be responsible for developing and executing project plans, providing reports, and making recommendations to improve and support business initiatives. This role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Required qualifications include:• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related field • 7-10 years of experience in business and/or data analysis• Proven ability to develop and execute detailed project plans • Demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives • Strong expertise in MS Office Suite (especially Excel)• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills • Analytical and detail-oriented with high level of accuracy • Self-starter with a passion for learning and continuous improvement • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization • Knowledge of database concepts and SQL preferred If you are a highly organized individual with a passion for problem solving and have the qualifications outlined above, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities of the Principal Business Analyst:
• Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement • Develop and execute detailed project plans to support business initiatives • Perform complex business and data analysis to inform process improvement initiatives • Provide reports and recommendations to improve and support business initiatives • Utilize MS Office Suite (especially Excel) to create reports and analyze data • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization • Continuously learn and identify areas for improvement • Utilize database concepts and SQL to analyze data, as needed
