
Phlebotomist - Vascular Access Technician

- Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples for diagnostic testing and therapeutic purposes
- Administer vascular access procedures, including but not limited to, IV placement and port access
- Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling to maintain accuracy and prevent errors
- Follow established protocols and safety measures to minimize the risk of infection and ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed
- Monitor patient's condition during phlebotomy and vascular access procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications
- Educate patients on the procedure and provide post-procedure care instructions
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in phlebotomy and vascular access techniques and technologies
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to phlebotomy and vascular access procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials

Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Or Equivalent Certification
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Vascular Access Technician In A Medical Setting
Knowledge Of Various Blood Collection Techniques And Ability To Perform Venipuncture And Capillary Punctures
Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Understanding Of Laboratory Testing Procedures
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment.
