  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in an outpatient setting, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  2. Collect and process blood samples in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of the procedure.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
  6. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during phlebotomy procedures.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
  11. Handle all documentation and record-keeping accurately and in a timely manner.
  12. Adhere to all quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  13. Continuously assess and improve upon processes and procedures to enhance patient care and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Technician Program From An Accredited Institution, With Certification Through A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In An Outpatient Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic Environment.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In All Aspects Of Phlebotomy, Including Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture Techniques, Specimen Handling And Processing, And Safety Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Accurately Document And Maintain Records, Follow Established Procedures And Protocols, And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
