  1. Accurately and efficiently collect blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing.
  2. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail to ensure proper labeling and handling of samples.
  3. Use proper techniques and procedures to minimize discomfort and risk for patients during blood collection.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area to adhere to infection control standards.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients.
  6. Keep accurate records of patient information and test results.
  7. Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to ensure the integrity of samples and the well-being of patients.
  8. Collaborate with lab technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate processing of samples.
  9. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and healthcare regulations.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  11. Adhere to Mayo Clinic's values of excellence, respect, compassion, integrity, and teamwork.
  12. Represent Mayo Clinic in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  13. Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting.

  • Proficient In Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture Techniques, As Well As Blood Specimen Collection And Handling Procedures.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology, With The Ability To Accurately Identify And Label Specimens.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Record Systems And The Ability To Maintain Accurate And Detailed Documentation Of All Procedures And Patient Information.
