
Pharmacist - Night Shift

- Dispensing and monitoring medication: The primary responsibility of a pharmacist in this role is to accurately dispense medication to patients, ensuring the correct dosage and instructions are provided. They will also monitor patients' medication use and make any necessary adjustments.
- Collaborating with healthcare team: The pharmacist will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure the safe and effective use of medication for patients. This includes providing drug information and consulting on treatment plans.
- Ensuring medication safety: It is the pharmacist's responsibility to ensure that all medications are stored, handled, and administered safely. This includes following proper procedures for dispensing and storage, as well as educating patients on proper medication use.
- Conducting medication reviews: The pharmacist will perform medication reviews to identify any potential drug interactions or adverse effects. They will also make recommendations for alternative medications when necessary.
- Providing patient education: The pharmacist will educate patients on their medications, including dosage, potential side effects, and drug interactions. They will also answer any questions or concerns patients may have.
- Maintaining accurate records: It is essential for the pharmacist to keep detailed and accurate records of all medications dispensed and any interactions with patients or other healthcare professionals.
- Staying up-to-date on industry developments: The pharmacist will stay current on new medication treatments, regulations, and industry developments to provide the most up-to-date and effective care for patients.
- Ensuring compliance: The pharmacist will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to medication dispensing and storage.
- Providing excellent customer service: As a representative of Mayo Clinic, the pharmacist will provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution
Current And Active State License To Practice Pharmacy
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting
Ability To Work Night Shifts And Weekends As Needed
