2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by closely monitoring vital signs and responding quickly and appropriately to any changes or complications.
3. Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Surgery team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of perfusion procedures, including documentation of medications, fluids, and equipment used.
5. Stay current on advancements in perfusion technology and techniques, and participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory and safety standards.
7. Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting perfusion equipment, and communicate any equipment malfunctions or needs for repair.
8. Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technicians, to provide seamless and efficient care for patients.
9. Provide education and support to patients and their families about the perfusion process, including potential risks and post-operative care instructions.
10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor with patients and colleagues at all times.
