
Patient Care Assistant - Cardiovascular PCU, Nights - PCA

- Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit during the night shift.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's condition to the nursing team.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.
- Administer medications and treatments as delegated by the nursing team.
- Help patients with mobility and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.
- Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
- Respond promptly and calmly to patient and family needs and concerns.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans for patients.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Assistant Position At Mayo Clinic Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Hospitals, Including Mayo Clinic, Require Patient Care Assistants To Have A Cna Certification. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training In Basic Patient Care And Can Provide Quality Care To Patients.
