
Paramedic - Emergency Department Nights

- Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care to patients in need.
- Assess patient's condition and provide appropriate treatment according to established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and administer medications and other medical interventions as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and relay important information regarding patient's condition and treatment.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during stressful and critical situations.
- Continuously strive to improve knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Comply with all hospital and department policies and procedures to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make quick and sound decisions.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive patient information.
- Serve as a positive and professional ambassador for the Mayo Clinic by demonstrating exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and handle a fluctuating workload.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications
Valid State Paramedic Certification And License
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic In An Emergency Department Setting
Ability To Work Nights And Weekends, As Well As Rotating Shifts
Strong Critical Thinking And Decision-Making Skills In High-Stress Situations
