  1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to senior patients in an outpatient setting.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for senior patients.
  3. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in the fields of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine as they relate to senior care.
  4. Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of senior patients' medical histories, symptoms, and conditions.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior patients and their families, promoting trust and open communication.
  6. Monitor and track the progress of senior patients and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
  7. Educate senior patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all senior patients.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in regards to patient care and confidentiality.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, to provide comprehensive care for senior patients.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services for senior patients.
  12. Serve as a mentor and resource for other physicians and healthcare professionals in regards to senior care.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
  14. Continuously strive to improve the health and well-being of senior patients through evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
  15. Attend conferences and continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in senior care.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Physician Applying For A Position At Mayo Clinic's Outpatient Senior Services Must Hold A Valid Medical Doctor (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board-Certified In Either Internal Medicine Or Family Medicine By The American Board Of Internal Medicine Or The American Board Of Family Medicine, Respectively.

  • Fellowship Training: Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who Have Completed A Fellowship In Geriatric Medicine Or Have Significant Experience In Caring For Older Adults.

  • Experience In Outpatient Care: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In An Outpatient Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Caring For Older Adults.

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: As A Physician In The Outpatient Senior Services Department, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members. The Ability To Empathize, Listen, And Effectively Communicate With Older Adults Is Crucial For Providing Quality Care.
