  1. Oversee the nutrition care of inpatients at the Mayo Clinic, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to all patients.
  2. Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
  3. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and adjust plans as needed.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Provide guidance and support to the nutrition team, including Registered Dietitians and Nutrition Technicians.
  6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to nutrition care.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with food service vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality and nutritious food options for patients.
  8. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to promote professional growth and development.
  9. Stay informed on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate best practices into patient care.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve nutrition services to meet the changing needs of patients and the organization.
  11. Act as a liaison between the nutrition department and other departments within the clinic to promote effective communication and collaboration.
  12. Participate in departmental and organizational meetings and committees to contribute to the overall mission and goals of the Mayo Clinic.
  13. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient nutrition care and outcomes.
  14. Represent the Mayo Clinic and the nutrition department in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Clinical Nutrition, Preferably In An Inpatient Setting.

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Previous Management Or Leadership Experience, With Strong Communication And Organizational Skills.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Nutrition Therapy Practices And Guidelines, Including Enteral And Parenteral Nutrition, For Various Disease States.
