
Neurology/Psychiatry Pharmacist
At Mayo Clinic, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Neurology/Psychiatry Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality pharmacy services to patients with neurological and mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to improving the quality of life for patients in need of specialized care. The successful candidate must possess a PharmD degree from an accredited university, have a current Pharmacist license in the state of Minnesota, have a minimum of 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience in neurology and/or psychiatry, and be knowledgeable on recent advances in neuroscience and psychotropic medications. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and efficient pharmacy services to patients with neurological and mental health needs
- Utilize knowledge of recent advances in neuroscience and psychotropic medications to ensure safety and efficacy of medication therapies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Maintain up-to-date records of all patient medication therapies
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Monitor drug therapy regimens and provide drug information services
- Educate patients and other healthcare providers on the appropriate use of medications
- Develop and implement new pharmacy services as needed to improve patient care
- Participate in pharmacy and medical staff meetings to develop and implement new policies and procedures
