- Perform high-quality EEG recordings and other neurodiagnostic tests in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
- Monitor and analyze EEG data to identify abnormalities and assist in the diagnosis of neurological disorders
- Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on the purpose and procedures of neurodiagnostic tests and address any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of test results and patient information
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for patients and staff
- Stay current with advances in EEG technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by effectively communicating and working with team members and other healthcare professionals.
Certified Eeg Technologist: The Candidate Must Hold A Certification In Eeg Technology From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Board Of Registration Of Eeg Technologists (Abret).
Experience With Neurodiagnostic Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Operating And Troubleshooting Eeg Equipment, Including Amplifiers, Electrodes, And Computer Systems.
Knowledge Of Neurophysiology: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology, And The Principles Of Eeg Recording And Interpretation.
Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Availability For Prn Shifts: The Position Requires The Candidate To Be Available For Prn (As Needed) Shifts, Including Nights And Weekends, To Provide Coverage For Unexpected Absences Or Increased Patient Volumes.
