  • Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with brain and spinal cord tumors
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and expertise in neuro-oncology to diagnose and treat patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in neuro-oncology to continuously improve patient care
  • Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients' medical history, symptoms, and test results
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRI or CT scans, to aid in diagnosis
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as biopsies or tumor removal, as needed
  • Prescribe and monitor medication regimens for patients
  • Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient care
  • Participate in research studies and clinical trials to advance the field of neuro-oncology
  • Attend conferences and other educational events to enhance knowledge and skills in the field
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and research activities
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.

  • Board Certification In Neurology: Candidates For A Neuro-Oncologist Position At Mayo Clinic Should Hold A Valid Board Certification In Neurology From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology.
