
Medicolegal Death Investigator
At Mayo Clinic, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Medicolegal Death Investigator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in our medicolegal program as a death investigator, helping the clinic to fulfill its mission of providing the highest quality patient care.The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience working in the medicolegal field and a strong knowledge of forensic pathology, medical terminology, and forensic science techniques. Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and review all medicolegal cases to ensure accuracy and provide quality patient care.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all medicolegal investigations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to medicolegal investigations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of all investigations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to internal and external personnel.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, when requested.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other medical professionals and law enforcement personnel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for medicolegal investigations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of advances in medicolegal investigations.
- Participate in research projects related to medicolegal death investigations.
